(FCC Regulation 15)
| Have You Been Disconnected By Regulation 15 of the FCC? If you are not familiar with this regulation, please allow us to provide you with a brief description. According to the FCC, under certain applications, it is illegal to replace a stock antenna with one that provides high gain. In order to prevent this from happening, the FCC has issued an edict that calls for a unique connector thereby prohibiting the attachment of any other type of connector. Reverse polarity connectors can be fabricated in most popular styles such as SMA, BNC, and TNC. Basically, a reverse polarity connector is a connector that has the insides exchanged with its mating connector. For example, a male SMA would have the insides of a female SMA and visa versa. |
